Stainless Steel 316 Class A4 USA Grade 316 F593
Grade A4is an Austenitic grade ofstainless steel 316, it has a higher corrosion resistance than A2 grade stainless steel 316 and this in many chemical environments.
Stainless steel 316L耐大气sta吗ining and pitting in industrial and urban areas, and also is suitable for marine conditions but not immersed in sea water.
Class A4 USA Grade 316 F593is highly advised to be used where installations are undergoing extreme operating conditions, including contact with dilute sulphuric acid, and acetic acid over a wide range of temperature and concentration.
The advantages of usingClass A4 USA Grade 316 F593:
- Satisfactory oxidation resistance up to 800ºC (1472 °F).
- Resistance to nitric acid and other oxidising chemicals is excellent.
- Resistance to other mineral and organic acids is good within certain limits of temperature and concentration.
Generally unsuitable for solutions of hydrochloric acid and chlorides, particularly if evaporation at high temperatures occurs.
Class A4 USA Grade 316 F593has a significant stress relaxation above 600ºC. (1112 °F)
